Thankful for....
SNOW and below zero weather that makes you look around even harder for that person who needs a coat or a coffee or gloves or a hot meal or a hug.
FAMILY that has been away for ten years and amazing time of catch up with them.
MALS (median arcuate ligament syndrome) that forced me to change my lifestyle and diet and become more aware of the amazing bodies that God gave to us that we so often mistreat.
IBS that is a daily reminder of the fact that people suffer pain a thousand times worse than this all over the world.
FRIENDS that know all of your faults and weaknesses and mistakes and choose to love you anyway.
PAUL and DAVID and all of the failures that God loved, this tells me that maybe He won't give up on me either.
SORROW that teaches us how to hope.
SADNESS that He always turns into dancing.
MISUNDERSTANDINGS that if taken the time to work through will make a relationship stronger.
Mostly thankful for unconditional love.

Matthew 25:31-46
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking...
We are the bride of Christ...we do not have to try to gain His favor. We already have it.
According to Ephesians 5:25-27 He gave all of Himself up for us to make us holy and blameless. He is crazy about us and he required nothing in return...We cannot even fathom what he has done for us...imagine giving EVERYTHING and receiving nothing in return. THIS LOVE IS PASSIONATE!!!
and this love is RELENTLESS...even when we are filled with sin and unrighteousness.
Rom 5:7-8 "For one will scarcely die for a righteous person though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Rom 5:20-21 "WHERE SIN INCREASED, GRACE INCREASED ALL THE MORE!etc..."
Eph 2:3-5 "...by GRACE you have been saved"
His love never fades, no matter what we are doing, where we are. It is unchanging. He is pursuing you wherever you are right now.
Mary Magdalene would have been considered one of the 'worst sinners of her time' and yet God required nothing from her, there is no recording of a huge repentance from her or of her trying to right all of her wrongs. Just looking at her the Lord changed her. He allowed her to lavish on HIM a passionate display of affection in a very inappropriate place for that time, a house of Pharisees and only men (and they were 'holy' men). These men were astonished and appalled. So if you are being ridiculed by the 'religious people' of this time, you are probably being blessed and passionately pursued by the One who matters :)
2 Cor 12:9 "'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

isaiah 42
Here is my servant!
I have made him strong.
He is my chosen one;
I am pleased with him.
I have given him my Spirit,
and he will bring justice
to the nations.
He won't shout or yell
or call out in the streets.
He won't break off a bent reed
or put out a dying flame,
but he will make sure
that justice is done.
He won't stop or give up
until he brings justice
everywhere on earth,
and people in foreign nations
long for his teaching.
I am the Lord God.
I created the heavens
like an open tent above.
I made the earth and everything
that grows on it.
I am the source of life
for all who live on this earth,
so listen to what I say.
I chose you to bring justice,
and I am here at your side.
I selected and sent you
to bring light
and my promise of hope
to the nations.
You will give sight
to the blind;
you will set the prisoners free
from dark dungeons.
I have made him strong.
He is my chosen one;
I am pleased with him.
