If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking...

We are the bride of Christ...we do not have to try to gain His favor. We already have it.
According to Ephesians 5:25-27 He gave all of Himself up for us to make us holy and blameless. He is crazy about us and he required nothing in return...We cannot even fathom what he has done for us...imagine giving EVERYTHING and receiving nothing in return. THIS LOVE IS PASSIONATE!!!
and this love is RELENTLESS...even when we are filled with sin and unrighteousness.
Rom 5:7-8 "For one will scarcely die for a righteous person though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Rom 5:20-21 "WHERE SIN INCREASED, GRACE INCREASED ALL THE MORE!etc..."
Eph 2:3-5 "...by GRACE you have been saved"
His love never fades, no matter what we are doing, where we are. It is unchanging. He is pursuing you wherever you are right now.
Mary Magdalene would have been considered one of the 'worst sinners of her time' and yet God required nothing from her, there is no recording of a huge repentance from her or of her trying to right all of her wrongs. Just looking at her the Lord changed her. He allowed her to lavish on HIM a passionate display of affection in a very inappropriate place for that time, a house of Pharisees and only men (and they were 'holy' men). These men were astonished and appalled. So if you are being ridiculed by the 'religious people' of this time, you are probably being blessed and passionately pursued by the One who matters :)
2 Cor 12:9 "'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

isaiah 42

Here is my servant!
I have made him strong.
He is my chosen one;
I am pleased with him.
I have given him my Spirit,
and he will bring justice
to the nations.

He won't shout or yell
or call out in the streets.
He won't break off a bent reed
or put out a dying flame,
but he will make sure
that justice is done.

He won't stop or give up
until he brings justice
everywhere on earth,
and people in foreign nations
long for his teaching.

I am the Lord God.
I created the heavens
like an open tent above.
I made the earth and everything
that grows on it.
I am the source of life
for all who live on this earth,
so listen to what I say.

I chose you to bring justice,
and I am here at your side.
I selected and sent you
to bring light
and my promise of hope
to the nations.
You will give sight
to the blind;
you will set the prisoners free
from dark dungeons.

Let the WORDS speak for themselves

I am nothing, He is everything.

I can do nothing, He can do anything.

He chooses the LEAST of Us:

Exodus 4:10 Moses said to the LORD, "O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue."
(oh my thoughts exactly)

2 Corinthians 10:10 Speaking of Paul, they say, "His letters are weighty and strong, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech of no account."
(I can relate to the weak bodily presence and speech!)

In 2 Samuel 11 King David was shown to be an adulterer and murderer but after repenting was according to Acts 13:22 'A man after God's own heart.'

We are all imperfect humans given challenges, feeling pain and suffering, but we are also given inspiration and examples, help and hope.

Nobody asked us to be perfect.
No one expects us to make NO mistakes.

Take what you have been give, RUN with it.
Run forward, make a goal and pursue it with all that you have.
DO NOT FOCUS on your failures, do not look at your past mistakes, DO NOT remember those times you messed up. Remember what you have been given, remember what you are capable of with the help of everyONE around you. Remember that you can do ALL THINGS through Him who gives you strength.

Ya, I am talking to myself :) but just wanted to share in case anyone else needed to hear it.

Love and Peace
